In Hymn Of praise

I Stand All Amazed

Written by Charles H. Gabriel B. August 18, 1856, Wilton, Iowa -
D. September 14, 1932, Hollywood, California

I stand all Amazed at the love Jesus offers me,
Confused at the grace that so full he proffers me.
I tremble to know that for me he was crucified,
That for me , a sinner, he suffered, he bled and died.
Refrain
Oh, it is wonderful, that he should care for me Enough to
die for me! Oh, it is wonderful, wonderful to me!
I marvel that he would descend from his throne divine,
To rescue a soul so rebellious and proud as mine.
That he should extend his great love unto such as I.
Sufficient to own, to redeem, and to justify.
Refrain

I think of his hand pierced and bleeding to pay the debt!
Such mercy, such love and devotion can I forget?
No, no, I will praise and adore at the mercy seat,
Until at the glorified throne I kneel at his feet.
Refrain

This is one of my all time favorite hymns.
One can never ponder on this subject enough. I am very thankful for my Savior and the sacrifice he made for me.
Happy day to you,
Jo-Anne

This is one of my favorites! I too have my hymnal on my lap ready to share a hymn on this WHITE sabbath day. It just might be the same you shared:)
I have been so up lifted by humming the hymns and reflecting the meaning of the words. I truly stand all amazed at all the love HE continues to offer me.
