The Bride wanted "old" for her reception. Could we do "old" without making it cowboy?
Yes, We could do "old" without making it cowboy...LOL
( I do like cowboy however...I ARE one..ish.....the MR is through and through)

SO, here's our "old" for the cake table. The back drop doors here, behind the dresser went on either side of the oak door that was in the door back drop.
The Mr. pointed out the windows were dirty.....we thought we had them washed once....lol so we washed them again... Or maybe the Mr did! Got them clean anyway!
suit case label
blue canning jar with old silver ware in it
Brides friend made her cake.
...................blurry picture, sorry
. The reception was HUGE. People came and stayed and visited with each other. No one seemed in a big hurry to leave. That's a compliment to their families and the bride and groom themselves I think. :-)
Next post, gift table area.
Until next time......

Darling couple! What a beautiful cake! Love, Joy
Wow it looks like it was great! I wish I could have been there but I'm glad you could be a part of such a exciting day!
What a fun reception this must have been...I love the dresser and the suitcases and the cake displayed in front of the mirror...such good ideas and so sensible too :D
The wedding sounds absolutely wonderful. What a great theme to choose. It's so different from all the commerical pressure that surrounds weddings at the moment.

I wish you had been available for my reception. I wanted old and cowboy. I'm not very good at cute creative ideas. These are fun posts!!
What a fun way to decorate for a reception! I am going to remember this for the next time we have a wedding to plan! :)
(P.S. I happened to see a pic of a little chair just like the one I recently blogged about-and guess what? It WAS A ROCKER! You were right. I can see how mine could have been converted without being able to tell! sorry!)
