It was so very beautiful, and the smell......ummmm hummmm.........
was sweet and pungent! It only lasts a couple of weeks and then the blooms fade away, and it doesn't always bloom like this, only every few years, so it was a treat to behold .
We ended our day down at Sand Wash boat launch on the Green river. A place I had heard tons about but had never been too. I'll share pictures of that on another post......
Well, I have been to Young Women's camp and back. I not only survived our extra over night backpack trip up the mountain with my backpack, but I LOVED it! It was a BUSY week at camp. Didn't get lots of sleep, ate good food, ran hither and yon, all up hill.....both directions! LOL Made some dear friends, and totally had my well filled to over flowing!
We are having a BBQ with our kids tonight.......goat cooked on a rotisserie .
No typo, really is a goat. All fat and grain fed. Wanna come?

For the week in heart, or stomach, there will be hamburgers and hot dogs......bring a pot luck salad or dessert OK?
Thank you all for your sweet and tender emails. My heart was very touched. Hard times made better by your love and concern.
Carpe diem.......Seize The Day

I'll stick with the salad if you don't mind! But that mallow is just breathtaking. I'm sure even more so in person.
I survived Girls Camp twice and vowed never to go again, sugar! I'm too old for that now. Sigh...
xoxo,
Connie
I'll come but I don't want to eat a goat! LOL Glad you had a fun time at girls camp, that is always fun!
The earth is so beautiful every where...we have those orange flowers too, I don't have to weed them, so I love them! Come say hi :D
I have never seen any place like this. All those beautiful orange blooms to see. It looks so amazing. I wish the blog came with smell too. Never ate goat. Would give it a try if had the chance. I have ate goat cheese from a market on salad. I hope to see some of the world some day. Thanks for sharing.

I Love girls camp!!!I haven't been for a few years, though.
Ah, the beauty of a multitude, so many angles of beauty. individually, collectively...
We have a goat that were not sure what to do with......hmmmmm!
Sorry I didn't see this post yesterday! Otherwise I'd have come to your BBQ and brought some potato salad and Texas sheet cake. Darn. We just got back from a week at Lake Tahoe. Drove through the Nevada desert and it was blooming too. Do they call that mallow Indian Paint Brush? It's sure beautiful this year. How was the goat?? Mimi
Wow, as much as I dislike the desert it sure is beautiful! I love the colors. I'll definitely pass on the goat (I've never been able to eat it since my parents killed our pets!) It's been a tough few weeks, but I believe we're going to make it through. We find out Friday (hopefully) if Eric is going to finish on time for his program. (Cross your fingers for us) Love Caralee
This was extremely beautiful! Thanks for sharing it.
I found a blog you would love! My sister introduced me to it! :)

happy reading.
Hi Mercy,
I came by to thank you for your sweet words regarding my mom passing away. But then I learned that your family has had a rough go of it too, lately. I was so sorry to read about your nephew. It seems to me that few things would be harder to deal with than that. I will keep this little family in my prayers.
Thank you for sharing the beautiful photos of the desert in bloom. What a treat.
Thank you again, Mercy.
Mary Lou
Beautiful! It reminds me of the Bluebonnets in Texas in the spring! I love it! Love, Joy
Hi Mercy,
