Fridays on the farm

It was cold here on the farm this morning!

Ice on the wheel lines makes it cold for the Mr. in the mornings
Brrrrrrrrr.

Sometime during the winter I bought this chair from the TS. It's getting a makeover.

I dithered back and forth for a while because I wasn't sure I wanted to pay the $5.00 asking price........LOL

I wasn't sure where I wanted to put it, until now. It will go in my bedroom, the Mr. will hang his clothes over it every night, and when the grand kids come, one of the little ones can sleep on it!

How fun is this? I have never seen one like it. It needs a little bit of work, but not much. Today, it's outside being painted white. The cushions are going to be red something.......I'm needing to make a fabric store run and see what I can find. :-D

Our neighbors came the other day with this large and heavy basket filled to the brim with a peace rose, fruit, and a darling garden ladybug. My goodness it took two people to carry it! The basket was a "thank-you" for the Mr. but I surly got to share the wealth!

The Mr. did their chores for a couple of weeks while they were in Salt Lake. Their almost 21 yr old son rolled his pickup truck 6 times, and was thrown out . He was so very blessed to be alive. The wreck happened around 8 in the evening, and he was not found until almost 2. A very long time to lay in the cold march night critically hurt. He did turn 21 in the hospital, and how grateful his folks were to be able to celebrate that day with him alive! He is home now and doing well. What a scare for them all to go through.

I almost forgot! I was called to be our ward( church congregation) girls camp director. And I am doing a fourth year overnight backpack hike! Ahhhhhhhhhhh! ( not to panic not to panic! LOL) We're going here, which is the BEST place ever to take the girls. I love it there. But the very words "backpack", "bear", and "Overnight" are not my favorite words to use together! :-D

Well, that's the farm today. The Mr. and the teen have been getting the garden spot ready, and are now building fence and my "sleepover" chair is needing another coat of paint.
ENJOY YOUR DAY!

The chair is neat. I can't wait to see what you do to it. It was worth the $5.00 I am sure. The basket was a very nice gift and how nice you get something to. A lot to be thankful for after such a bad accident. God has his hand in his recovery. Have a fun & safe fabric run. And may you thaw out fast.

Hope all is well with you. We've had a hectic week. I've been meaning to ask you something. One of the blogs on your list has a little gift shop on their property. I saw it months ago and now can't remember which one it is. Do you know? Or am I halucinating again?? Have a great weekend. Mimi
