We made a trip out to the city this week. We went to tow our son and DIL's car home, and we went to Draper to the open house. So Beautiful. We went out in the aftermath of a snow storm, and had nasty roads. But by the time we came home it was all nice and dry. Thank heavens. It was a beautiful day and the sun was so brilliant.
By the time we got to Provo Canyon, the roads were good. The mountains were so pretty all along, but I was trying to sew and not look out the window, so I missed all the beautiful senery out in Strawberry valley. I'm not a very good slick road traveler. LOL My DH says I need to take a Valium, lay on the floor and cover up my head!! I have no Valium, I would be all scrunched on the floor, but covering my head is not a bad idea! Hehehe
This picture was taken under duress.... Little big Chief didn't think I needed it. LOL
There are so many things going on in our family these days. We are waiting for the arrival of our first granddaughter, coming in April. Can't wait to see her little face and kiss her little cheeks!♥
She will be welcomed by a loving family and five little boy cousins. She will give them all a merry dance! LOL Welcome little Paislee Jo♥
Our Daughter and SIL are moving this week into a new town house in Roosevelt. Their first home! No more renting. They will be close, just about 20 miles away. I am looking forward to this move for them. Everyone needs their own place.:-) It will be fun to see how she does it up. It will be closer to my SIL's work so they will save a heap on gas money. We give them a bad time, between school in Logan and work in Price and work here now, this will be the 7th time the two of them have moved in 3 years!!!
It is a beautiful day here in the Basin. We woke up to new snow, but it has all melted. The W.I.N.D. is blowing. (shhhhhhh. don't say it out loud, it will hear you and blow harder.LOL) Little big chief and I went for a ride up in the Field to have a look see at the cows. Here is our latest calf and her mom. The momma was wary of the dogs and wanted no part of them. Our calf is brand new, and still a little wet. If we would have been faster, we would have seen her being born! I never get tired of that! It's such a miracle, even to see an animal being born!
Little Big Chief and his Blue Heeler dog, "Bear". Crazy dog loves to ride. If you jump out of the truck or car or even the four wheeler for a second, when you come back, he's sitting in your seat! LOL
Just a few of the things I've been working on. A bucket full of Luck! Some for the porch, and some for inside.
This was a fun find. I saw one of these on Sarah's blog, and loved it. Had my DS sand it off for me, and of course I painted and stained it my new favorite color. This one is for my mom, who likes the cottage kind of look. I am looking for a birds nest to sit under the dome. But for today, here is a cup and eggs..... Don't you just love the small engine part in the window sill? (little mechanic)
Hope you all have a great weekend, and have a bit of spring in your area! Take care.♥ Lewaina

Have a great weekend...and congratulations to your family!
Oh so much good stuff coming your way! A wedding , a baby, a new home - what a great year 2009 and will be your family!! Congrats to all!!
Congrats to Landon and Kassie! They say when you marry in June...
Anyway, I wanted to add that W.I.N.D. is a four letter word. The good news is that it means that summer is coming, and if the wind is blowing it must be spring!
You have been busy! More snow tonight! We ahve been in GJ Colorado helping our son and his new bride house shop for their first home. We ran into snow also...then it cleared a bit. We still do not what G.J. looks like though:)
Congrats on getting both a new daughter and new DIL! Weddings and babies are the best!
Much of the good old Irish Luck to you this evening! They look great....
Oh an so does the sweet new little calf! And Big chief... did I miss anything besides your handsome Bishop? (I am relieved when my husband bishop was released a few years ago! Miss the blessings though.:)
I love, love your shamrocks! Where is mom going to put her dome? One of my first letters from you after you were married was at this time of year, as you were talking about having to pull a calf. Small things that I hope I never forget! Love ya!
My goodness, I don't know where to start. You have been a very busy woman. Congrats to you & your family about your son's upcoming wedding. That is a family affair, which is why I send my congrats to everyone. You changed your blog name, & site , very beautiful, as well as the snow there around you. A granddaughter coming & family moving near, you are going to be one busy woman. Love your shmarocks, & your teacup. I would have missed your engine part in the window. Thanks for the visit today; it's from Psalms 119:73.
Blessings,
Weddings and babies and spring. What could be better? We're going to try to get down to the Draper Temple this week. Being gone for two weeks has put me behind. Mimi
There's a little hole on the cookie sheet on the edge that you pick it up, just big enough for a nail to hang it with. Does that make sense? If not go take a look at one of your cookie sheets or find one at the DI. Isn't it fun to get great ideas from other bloggers? Love that. Mimi
Did you know Dean and Carma and their daughter Deanna? I come from his wife Elizabeth and use her name actually as my blogging name:)... My real name starts with a *C*! Then their son John and my grandpa Arch... I am a Pocatello girl and have family still in I.F. We lived in Ammon after we were married. It is a small world. tell my cousin Hi!
Congrats to Landon and Kassie! Summer weddings ARE the best! I love looking at all the crafty things you are doing all the time, can't wait until I can do more of that. I was just telling Eric I'm excited for when I have a porch to decorate. I don't dare put stuff on my porch now, since we're surrounded by city and plenty of thieves! I have my ultra sound tomorrow, I'm getting really excited!
